Responsibilities
- Process and verify incoming invoices for accuracy and completeness, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
- Manage the 3-way matching process for all vendor payments to mitigate risk and prevent duplicate payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements monthly and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare and issue payments via ACH, wire transfer, or checks, maintaining strict adherence to payment terms.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and expense analysis.
- Maintain the vendor master file and ensure all banking information is up to date.
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payment status professionally and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or General Ledger accounting.
- Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and discrepancies quickly.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
- Self-Motivation: Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
