Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for diverse client portfolios including A/P, A/R, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes ensuring GAAP compliance
- Develop and implement internal controls to enhance financial accuracy
- Collaborate with tax professionals on quarterly filings and compliance
- Streamline accounting workflows using QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel functions
- Mentor junior accountants while maintaining client relationship excellence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public or private firms
- Expertise in QuickBooks Online, Excel pivot tables, and financial reporting tools
- Deep understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and Louisiana tax regulations
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to microscopic detail
- Strong written communication for client-facing financial documentation
- Proficiency in accounting software implementation and optimization
