Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including GL maintenance, month-end closes, and financial statement preparation
- Lead tax compliance initiatives including sales tax filings and quarterly payroll tax returns
- Conduct comprehensive financial audits and ensure adherence to GAAP standards
- Analyze variance reports and provide actionable insights to senior leadership
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable functions and optimize cash flow management
- Implement process improvements for accounting systems and internal controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with CPA certification required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables)
- Demonstrated expertise in multi-state tax compliance and audit procedures
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present financial insights clearly
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle) preferred
