Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance commentary
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and ensure compliance with GAAP
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries
- Develop and maintain internal controls for financial reporting accuracy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Manage tax compliance filings and support external audit processes
- Mentor junior accounting staff and implement process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel (VBA skills a plus)
- Demonstrated experience with full-cycle accounting operations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience in manufacturing or distribution industry preferred
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
