Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct detailed bank reconciliations and variance analysis to ensure financial integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and coordinate with external auditors during audits.
- Streamline accounting processes and improve internal controls to enhance operational efficiency.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- CPA certification is a strong plus but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail.
