Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements with variance reporting for executive leadership
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Lead tax preparation and filing activities for federal and state jurisdictions
- Mentor junior accounting staff through cross-functional collaboration
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel functions
- Demonstrated experience with GAAP compliance and audit preparation
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in financial reporting
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder presentations
- Proven ability to manage deadlines in high-volume environments
