Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the full-cycle of accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Perform complex account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Assist in the annual budget preparation and variance analysis for executive leadership.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely reporting.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
