Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with GAAP compliance
- Lead month-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Manage accounts payable/receivable processes and vendor relationships
- Coordinate internal and external audits while implementing control improvements
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Deep understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and tax regulations
- Proven track record in process improvement and financial analysis
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
