Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage full-cycle accounting including GL reconciliation, AP/AR, and payroll processing
- Oversee compliance with GAAP and tax regulations (federal/state)
- Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Develop and implement financial controls and process improvements
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews
- Maintain accurate fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
- Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public or private sector
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Excel (VBA skills a plus)
- Deep understanding of GAAP and tax compliance requirements
- Proven ability to manage complex reconciliations and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred)
- Excellent communication and cross-departmental collaboration skills
