Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end closing and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Lead tax preparation and compliance initiatives for corporate clients
- Develop and implement internal controls to optimize financial processes
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews and ensure regulatory compliance
- Mentor junior accountants and contribute to continuous improvement projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate sector
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and multi-state tax regulations
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (Sage 100+)
- Proven track record of improving financial processes and controls
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent communication skills for client/stakeholder interactions
- Professional certification (CPA, CMA) or active pursuit required
