Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
- Manage general ledger accounts and perform complex reconciliations for various bank accounts and credit cards.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, variance analyses, and budgets to support senior management.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process and address audit inquiries promptly.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset schedules and depreciation records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
