Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, ensuring accuracy and strict compliance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close process, managing critical deadlines and ensuring all general ledger reconciliations are completed on time.
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely vendor payments and accurate revenue recognition.
- Assist with the annual external audit process, providing detailed documentation and explanations to auditors to ensure a smooth process.
- Conduct variance analysis and prepare budget versus actual reports to support executive leadership in strategic decision-making.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements on a monthly basis to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve internal controls and streamline accounting workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
