Responsibilities
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and accurate documentation
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and KPI dashboards for executive leadership
- Lead internal audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency
- Mentor junior accounting staff and conduct training on financial systems and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Demonstrated expertise in financial statement preparation, analysis, and regulatory compliance
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities to present complex financial information clearly
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and payroll processing
- Proven track record of process optimization and team leadership
