Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end close, reconciliation, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
- Prepare and maintain accurate balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Lead process optimization projects to enhance accounting efficiency
- Mentor junior accounting staff on best practices and system utilization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (Sage 100 a plus)
- Deep understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and tax regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven experience with month-end closing and financial reporting
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
