Responsibilities
- Oversee the full cycle of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing procedures.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L) ensuring strict compliance with GAAP standards.
- Manage general ledger accounts, including accurate and timely reconciliation of bank statements and balance sheet accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns while ensuring full regulatory compliance.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify financial trends and recommend cost-saving measures to management.
- Collaborate with internal departments to improve internal controls and streamline accounting workflows.
- Prepare and coordinate all audit schedules and documentation for external auditors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
