Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for clients across various industries
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and state-specific tax requirements
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
- Collaborate with clients to optimize financial systems and processes
- Conduct internal audits and implement internal controls
- Provide financial consulting and strategic recommendations to clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public practice or corporate finance
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and accounting software
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
- Experience with multi-state tax filings and payroll processing
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize competing tasks
