Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage full-cycle accounting for 15+ client portfolios including AP/AR, payroll, and tax filings
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with SOX compliance
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure financial accuracy
- Collaborate with CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and KPI tracking
- Conduct audits for commercial real estate and SaaS clients
- Mentor junior accountants using QuickBooks Online and Xero platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of public accounting experience with Big 4 or mid-tier firm
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, and Excel with VBA
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, IRS regulations, and California tax codes
- Proven experience with multi-state compliance and international transactions
- Strong analytical skills with ability to reconcile complex accounts
- Excellent written and verbal communication for client reporting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required
