We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team in Tampa, FL. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial health, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards, and providing strategic insights to leadership.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy of all journal entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns, including sales and payroll taxes.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and supporting schedules.
- Monitor cash flow and manage accounts payable and receivable functions efficiently.
- Develop and implement internal controls and financial processes to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
