Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements for federal grant compliance
- Lead internal controls audits and process improvement initiatives
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities
- Mentor junior accountants and implement financial best practices
- Utilize advanced Excel and QuickBooks for financial modeling
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA required)
- 5+ years of public accounting experience with government/nonprofit focus
- Expertise in GAAP and federal grant accounting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel (VBA preferred)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
