Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy
- Manage general ledger operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with precision and timeliness
- Develop and implement financial models for forecasting and budgeting initiatives
- Conduct internal audits and process improvements to enhance financial controls
- Collaborate with tax department to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Enterprise and SAP systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate finance
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, FASB standards, and financial reporting principles
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel (including Power Query)
- Proven experience with month-end closing processes and reconciliations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
- Remote work experience with demonstrated self-management capabilities
