Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end closings
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy
- Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts, investments, and balance sheet accounts
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews and implement control recommendations
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Mentor junior accounting staff and optimize department workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public or corporate exposure
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, audits, and regulatory compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
- Experience in the financial services industry highly desirable
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
