Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Lead SOX compliance initiatives and internal control documentation
- Analyze financial data to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process improvements and system implementations
- Prepare regulatory filings and ensure adherence to GAAP standards
- Mentor junior accountants and oversee workflow delegation
- Develop KPI dashboards for executive leadership review
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA or CPA preferred
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, or ERP systems
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and financial reporting standards
- Strong analytical skills with experience in variance analysis
- Proven ability to manage competing deadlines in high-volume environments
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
- Experience with tax preparation and audit coordination
