Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage full-cycle accounting for 15-20 client portfolios including AP/AR, payroll, and tax compliance
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with SOX adherence
- Develop and implement financial forecasting models for strategic planning
- Collaborate with audit teams to ensure GAAP compliance and resolve discrepancies
- Mentor junior accountants on accounting best practices and software proficiency
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement automation solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Microsoft Excel
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, IRS regulations, and state tax codes
- Proven ability to manage complex reconciliations and financial reporting
- Experience with SOX audits and internal controls documentation
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude
