Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and ensure compliance with GAAP standards
- Prepare detailed financial statements for executive leadership and external stakeholders
- Lead internal audits and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Maintain accurate fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
- Support tax preparation processes and ensure regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated expertise in financial statement preparation and analysis
- Strong understanding of SOX compliance and internal controls
- Exceptional attention to detail with problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex data clearly
- Proven experience with multi-state tax regulations
