Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage general ledger operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely processing and optimal cash flow
- Conduct internal audits and assist with external audit coordination
- Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Expertise in GAAP, financial reporting standards, and internal controls
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Oracle) and MS Excel
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven experience managing month-end closing processes
