Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards to provide insights for leadership.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform complex reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts to ensure data accuracy.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage the full cycle of A/P and A/R, including processing invoices, verifying payments, and ensuring timely collections.
- Compliance & Auditing: Assist in the preparation of annual audits and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to streamline accounting workflows and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to manage large volumes of data with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
