As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial integrity and supporting our executive leadership with strategic insights.
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger, perform reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts.
- Cost Accounting: Analyze costs and variances to help drive profitability and operational efficiency across departments.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring full compliance with tax regulations.
- Internal Controls: Develop and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance reporting workflows.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced Excel functions; experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or QuickBooks) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting frameworks.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
