Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including vendor management and client invoicing.
- Assist in the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns and ensure timely payments.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost reduction.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial data and support budget preparation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is highly preferred).
- 3-5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions) and accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, or SAP).
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills, capable of translating complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
