Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and bank reconciliations
- Oversee payroll processing for 100+ employees across 3 states
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
- Develop and implement internal controls for financial operations
- Assist with annual audits and tax compliance documentation
- Maintain and optimize QuickBooks Enterprise system configurations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise and Excel
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and NM state tax regulations
- Proven experience with multi-state payroll processing
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Professional communication skills for stakeholder reporting
