Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for 15-20 clients, including month-end close and financial reporting
- Prepare complex tax returns and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls for financial systems
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable business insights
- Lead audits and special projects including forensic accounting investigations
- Mentor junior accountants and supervise accounting operations team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with CPA license required
- 5+ years progressive experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, and MS Excel (including Power Query)
- Deep understanding of GAAP, IRS regulations, and California tax codes
- Proven track record of managing high-volume financial operations
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication abilities for client-facing interactions
