Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage full-cycle accounting for 15-20 diverse client portfolios
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations
- Coordinate annual audits and ensure compliance with GAAP/IRS regulations
- Implement process improvements using QuickBooks and Excel
- Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Mentor junior accountants on technical best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Expertise in multi-state tax compliance and payroll processing
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Remote work experience with proven self-discipline
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
