Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for diverse client portfolios
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and bank reconciliations
- Implement and optimize internal controls for compliance with GAAP and SOX
- Lead tax preparation and planning initiatives for corporate clients
- Collaborate with audit teams during external examinations
- Mentor junior accounting staff on financial best practices
- Utilize QuickBooks and advanced Excel modeling for financial forecasting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Proven experience with month-end closing and financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and compliance standards
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience managing accounting teams or cross-functional projects
- Excellent communication skills for client/stakeholder interactions
