Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage complex account reconciliations for multi-entity portfolios
- Lead quarterly and annual audit processes with external auditors
- Develop and implement financial controls to ensure compliance with GAAP
- Collaborate with tax professionals on tax planning and compliance initiatives
- Maintain accurate fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
- Provide financial insights to support strategic business decisions
- Mentor junior accountants on accounting best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate finance
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience managing financial audits from preparation to completion
