Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for 15-20 clients including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare complex tax returns and compliance documents for C-Corps, S-Corps, and partnerships
- Lead audits and reviews for mid-sized businesses ensuring GAAP/IRS compliance
- Implement and optimize accounting software solutions (QuickBooks Online, Xero)
- Mentor junior accountants and provide technical guidance on accounting standards
- Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
- Collaborate with CFOs and business owners on strategic financial planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of public accounting experience with audit/tax focus
- Expertise in GAAP, IRS regulations, and state compliance requirements
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for client relationships and team collaboration
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
- Active CPA license required
