Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance commentary
- Manage complex multi-currency reconciliations and intercompany transactions
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
- Oversee VAT returns and corporate tax compliance
- Develop financial models for strategic decision-making
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvements
- Collaborate with audit teams and regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 5+ years' post-qualification experience
- Advanced proficiency in Xero, Sage, and Excel (including Power Query)
- Proven experience in UK corporate tax and VAT regulations
- Strong financial modeling and variance analysis skills
- Experience managing accounting teams (3+ direct reports)
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work under pressure with competing deadlines
- Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
