Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Lead end-to-end financial reporting cycles ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS
- Manage VAT returns, payroll processing, and statutory filings (HMRC, Companies House)
- Develop financial models and KPI dashboards to inform strategic decision-making
- Oversee audit processes and liaise with external auditors
- Mentor junior finance staff and process optimization initiatives
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent accounting qualification
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in a similar role
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, macros) and ERP systems (Sage 50/200)
- Proven experience with month-end closing and reconciliations
- Strong understanding of UK tax regulations and corporate governance
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience in financial services or tech sector preferred
