Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse monthly financial statements with detailed variance analysis
- Manage complex month-end and year-end closing processes
- Lead financial audits and ensure compliance with UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls and accounting systems
- Provide insightful financial reporting to senior leadership for strategic decision-making
- Coordinate tax planning and compliance activities
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvements
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent international qualification
- Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in public practice or corporate accounting
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle preferred)
- Deep understanding of UK tax legislation and accounting standards
- Proven ability to manage complex financial reporting cycles
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
