Responsibilities
- Manage full accounting cycles including month-end closes, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare statutory accounts and ensure compliance with UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Lead audit processes and coordinate with external auditors
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvements
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent professional certification
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in practice or industry
- Expert knowledge of UK GAAP, tax legislation, and accounting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (SAP/Oracle)
- Proven experience managing audit processes and statutory reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
