Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements ensuring UK GAAP compliance
- Lead month-end closing processes with journal entries and reconciliations
- Manage complex payroll processing for 200+ employees using Sage 50
- Oversee VAT returns and corporate tax filings with HMRC
- Develop financial models for budget forecasting and variance analysis
- Conduct internal audits and process improvement initiatives
- Mentor junior accountants through structured training programs
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 5+ years post-qualification experience
- Expert knowledge of UK tax regulations and accounting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Power Query)
- Sage 50 and Xero implementation experience essential
- Demonstrated experience in financial reporting for SMEs
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
