Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee complex general ledger accounts and month-end close processes
- Prepare and analyse financial statements ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS
- Lead tax compliance activities including VAT returns and corporation tax calculations
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making
- Conduct internal audits and process improvement initiatives
- Mentor junior accountants and coordinate cross-functional projects
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 3+ years post-qualification experience
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
- Deep understanding of UK tax legislation and financial reporting standards
- Exceptional Excel skills with VBA/macros experience preferred
- Proven ability to manage high-volume transaction processing
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing stakeholder communications at executive level
