Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments
- Conduct comprehensive reconciliations for bank accounts and general ledger accounts
- Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis to support financial planning
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and relevant tax regulations
- Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Collaborate with auditors during financial reviews and audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (ACA/ACCA/CIMA preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a UK-based organisation
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Xero) and MS Excel
- Strong understanding of UK tax legislation and financial reporting standards
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent professional certification
