Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring UK GAAP compliance
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with reconciliations across all accounts
- Manage VAT returns and corporate tax submissions to HMRC
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls for financial reporting
- Collaborate with audit teams to ensure smooth external audit execution
- Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights for senior leadership
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent accounting qualification
- 5+ years of experience in public practice or corporate accounting
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (SAP/Oracle)
- Deep understanding of UK tax legislation and financial regulations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience managing financial audits and compliance procedures
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement
