Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage complex general ledger accounting and month-end closing processes
- Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts, investments, and corporate transactions
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX regulations, and industry-specific financial standards
- Lead internal audit processes and coordinate external audits efficiently
- Develop financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Mentor junior accounting staff and implement process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA strongly preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Expertise in GAAP, tax compliance, and internal controls
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel with VBA skills
- Proven track record of managing multi-state compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication abilities for stakeholder reporting and presentations
