Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for departmental and corporate initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on audit preparations and regulatory reporting
- Implement process improvements using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and automation tools
- Mentor junior accountants and provide guidance on complex accounting matters
- Manage vendor relationships and optimize accounts payable/receivable workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and internal controls
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills for presenting financial information to stakeholders
- Experience with SOX compliance and audit preparation
- Proven track record of process optimization and cost reduction
