Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP and corporate policies.
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Manage general ledger reconciliation, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets and forecasts, providing insights into variances.
- Prepare financial reports for stakeholders and management presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- CPA certification or CMA designation is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly.
