Responsibilities
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements with GAAP compliance
- Lead external audit coordination and internal control assessments
- Develop and maintain robust financial reporting systems
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable business insights
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll operations
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process optimization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (MBA/CPA strongly preferred)
- 5+ years of public or corporate accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel with macros
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance
- Strong SOX 404 and internal control documentation skills
- Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations
- Experience with ERP implementation in mid-sized companies
