Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, budgets, and variance reports for senior management.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and GAAP standards.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of financial audits and the implementation of internal controls.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals to ensure smooth audit processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to translate financial data for non-financial stakeholders.
- Self-motivated individual with a high degree of integrity, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
