Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all journal entries are posted correctly to the general ledger.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure account balances are accurate and detect discrepancies.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage payments to vendors, and send invoices to clients to ensure timely collection of funds.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar cloud-based accounting software.
- Excel Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting or Finance required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in data entry and financial analysis with a strong eye for detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and external vendors.
