Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and timely.
- Manage general ledger accounts, reconciling bank statements and performing variance analysis.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Supervise accounts payable and receivable operations, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax filings and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with management to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff to ensure high standards of accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex financial data.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
