Responsibilities
- Oversee the full-cycle accounting process, including general ledger management, month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and review financial reports for discrepancies or areas of improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data clearly.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
